1.Teacher says“Janet
and Xiaoling are going to the zoo, They can see……show the
animal cards they have learnt, and then show a new card, ask
them:“How can we call the animal?”
and teach the new words in the same way,and practice them
group by group or row in row.
2. Teacher says“Now
we know many animals’ names, so we can talk about our
favourite animals. Who want to introduce your favourite
animal?”then let the pupils do some actions one by one and
can also ask “What’s this?”
3. Guess.After they can read the new words do the guess
exercises.
4.Give a short summarize for the vocabulary of animals using
the sentence"Now

the zoo.”
5.Teach the drill"Don’t….”say“We
often go to the zoo so we must know something about the zoo,
Janet and Xiaoling are going to the zoo. Janet says:“We
can take some food to feed the animals" but Xiaoling says
that her mother told her not to feed the animals in the
zoo.It’s a rule in the zoo, and do you know other rules in

6. Page 61,look at the pictures and put the words under the
pictures. Be quick and give answers, and write them on
the Bb.
7.Ask:”When we are in the zoo,
are we very happy?” and related the Sars Diease. Get the
pupils to answer why did people get Sars Diease?”(Because
some people kill the wild animals and like eating them)and
then ask the ss:“Do you think it’s
right?”We can say:“Don’t kill/eat
animals.”
8.Extend the knowledge! Teacher says :“These
are rules in the zoo, and these are rules in the society, so
what are the rules in the school? Headmaster Lei wants to
make some rules for our school, can you help her?At first
,Let’s see some pictures, and then please talk about in
groups.
9.If time permitted, let them talk about and write down
their answers on the card
10. Make a short summary that we
should obey the rules in the school and to be a good
